I will be giving Fasel's as much business as I can from now on. I had such a pleasant experience today. I have been there 3 times and purchased items twice. Each time the staff was friendly and accommodating. The merchandise is attractively displayed. The plant selection is great (at least in my limited experience) and so far I can't believe the service I've received. Today, I went in to look again at some window boxes I had seen on sale previously. Unfortunately, the ones I liked weren't on sale, even though most others were. I asked a staff member if she knew if this particular item was going on sale in the future. She looked at her list but said she couldn't say for sure. Just then the store manager (owner?) walked by and overheard our conversation. "I'll give you 20% off on those," he said. "Just tell the cashier." How nice!!! I had my toddler son with me and every staff member I passed oohed & ahhed over him (part of their training, perhaps?) I ended up buying two window boxes and a large trellis, all on sale. I didn't have to ask for carry out assistance; the cashier called for it for me immediately and the guy was there waiting for me as I walked away from the cash register. SUCH A HUGE contrast to the HD/Lowe's experience! I can't wait until next spring; I plan to purchase all of my spring planting needs and annuals there. I'm sure there are larger nurseries in the area with more selection as far as perennials, shrubs & trees go, but for this novice gardener, Fasel's will do quite nicely.
