Not personally a fan of rubber mulch but the process of making it is fascinating to me. Rubber Resources use a truck mounted home delivery type concrete mixer to colorize the rubber mulch which is ground up old tires.They put the mulch into the mixer, add water and dye and spin til all of the mulch is coated. They sell the stuff worldwide. A version of it whereby the wire in the tires have been removed with magnets is used for playground cover.A lot of commercial places use it because it is "permanent" and pleasing to look at.Not Bio degradable though.
