Located on hills above the city of Vancouver and harbor, the Queen Elizabeth Park has the most fabulous views. The park was built on top of a former basalt quarry. It was named after Queen Elizabeth who visited the park in 1939. The park contains an impressive aboretum, annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees native to Canada, display gardens, sculptures and fountains throughout the garden. Also a very nice rose garden. The garden is very pretty and great to walk around in. The views were just spectacular!
