In regards to my personal visit to Hoffman Farms in Canby, Oregon on Saturday 10/25/08. Ok, I am deeply troubled from what I saw in the respect of the large exotic cats being housed at this farm. An approx. 4 month old female lion cub in a small chainlink pen who for whatever reason is in their care, and in any case would and should be still nursing from her mother. Not only housed incorrectly, but alone, no other animals appropriate for her to stay with. She will soon be freezing if this is how she must stay through the night. This is not acceptable. Nor is the way the 6-7 month old tiger cub is forced to live. And the exotic cats are penned in very small cages for their size. The cages stinking of urine and feces. One Serval cat spent the entire time I was there pacing it's tiny spanse like a weaving stall bound horse. This is just flat sad. Who are these people? How did they come to own these cats?? Are they merely fostering them and soon their lives will be lived more as they should. Where will they go?? If anyone has more info please email me at [e-mail:cat6758@hotmail.com]. I was shocked and still can't get them out of my mind. Would like to donate but only if it entails them being placed in appropriate facilities or in the case of the younsters, being placed carefully back in the wild on a reserve. What can I personally do to help?? Because I will. ~T

My 18 month old loved the corn pit and the ball pit. He also jumped in the air filled houses. Those were cool! I didn't know if the wild animals were in too small cages or not, but they seemed happy and the lioness gets to go out on walks with a man daily. The train was a fun adventure and it was well worth the money. I was glad to be able to see all the unusual wild animals so close to home. Good job Hoffman Farm.
Oh, we drove out there twice. Ha! We even got 5 cute pumpkins for free.

I HEARD OF THIS PATCH FROM CHANNEL 2 NEWS. WHAT REALLY GOT MY ATTENTION WAS THE LIONS, TIGERS, CAMEL ECT, LOTS OF DIFFERENT ANIMALS. IT LOOKED LIKE FUN SO I WENT ONLINE TO FIND THEM. IT SOUNDED LIKE FUN. I READ THE ONE REVIEW THAT THEY HAD RECIEVED. IT WASNT GOOD AT ALL. SO I DECIDED I WAS GONNA TAKE A DRIVE TO CHECK IT OUT MYSELF. THE PEOPLE WERE EXTREMELY NICE. I WALKED AROUND FOR ABOUT AN HOUR. THE ANIMALS WERE FAT AND HEALTHY AND I WATCHED THE WORKERS. THEY TOOK LOVING CARE OF ALL THE ANIMALS. THEY HAVE A BUNCH OF JUMP TOYS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND
THAT YOU GIVE THIS PATCH A TRY. I WILL DEFINATLEY BE GOING BACK AND TAKING FRIENDS AND FAMILY. I ALSO WANT TO ADD THAT MOST PUMPKIN FARMS ARE CHARGING FOR PARKING AND ENTRANCE FEES. ITS HARD ENOUGH TO LIVE IN THIS DAY AND AGE. THIS FARM DOES NOT CHARGE FOR EITHER. JURITA

I was sadly dissapointed with this place. I was so upset with the conditions that their exotic animals were living in I decided to leave instead of buying a pumpkin and supporting this farm. I couldn't believe how small the areas were for the exotic cats, a type of bear, African porcupine, and other animals. The cages were to small for them having a healthy living environment.
