It is worth a visit in its own right too if you are a rose lover. If you prefer the smaller band size or even a particular rose not yet brought to Garden Valley Ranch and prefer to do pick up, you need to order them from Vintage Gardens and tell them you want to pick them up and not have them sent. They will bring them to Garden Valley Ranch for you to pick up.

The prices are high but they usually have roses that are impossible to find elsewhere. They boast having 3500 varieties, the most roses available in any nursery in the world. They also sell an extensive line of hydrangeas and some other perennials though I have only had eyes for their roses when I have been there.

Their 2 acres of display gardens (only open to the public on weekends in May) which are located on Pleasant Hill Road in Sebastopol, are chock full of roses and fragrance. During their open garden days, they do sell some of their roses in various sizes though your choices are limited to what they have brought there to sell. Mostly it is a time to be able to enjoy their huge collection in bloom. Worth a trip for you will see old and rare roses you have probably never seen before.
