I go to Moana occasionally because it is closer to home than Dry Creek. But there are BIG differences between the two: knowledge, and customer service. For example, I was double checking something I thought John at Dry Creek had told me, with one of the head gardeners at Moana. She told me the opposite of what John had told me (about whether a certain variety of grape would thrive in my particular backyard). When I looked confused and told her John at Dry Creek had told me differently, she replied, quite sincerely, "Oh, well, if John told you that, then it must be true." I applaud her for her honesty, and it comfirmed my belief that Dry Creek are the high desert gardening experts in our area.

This is probably the oldest nursery/garden center in the area. They have a decent selection and a nice garden gift area, but I always come away feeling a bit disappointed. I'd prefer to come away completely broke with a trunk overflowing with amazing plants and other cool stuff.

Still, I think this is the nursery where I'd send people new to gardening.
