Richard and Pam Fry started out about 20 years ago specializing in day lilies. They have since expanded into a full-service garden center, nursery and landscape service. Richard is the horticulturist for Transylvania County, also. He keeps the courthouse and a few other buildings looking great. I enjoy the rustic setting, the excellent advice and variety of plants & shrubs. These are very reputable people and have quality, medium-priced excellent plants. To reach them, you can take NC 280 (the airport exit) off I-26 just a little north of Hendersonville, NC.Follow 280 through the Mills River Community and towards Brevard. About 5 miles from Brevard, turn left onto King Rd. They are just a couple miles down King Rd. on the right. You can also access them by taking I-26 to the Hendersonville exit (US 64 west), go through Hendersonville, tiny communities of Horse Shoe and Etowah and as you approach Pisgah Forest, turn right at the other end of King Road. It's about 5 miles to the Fry Nursery on your left.
