I purchased five plants in May of 2007 with a 5 year warranty from Steins. Four of my five plants died. When I returned them to Steins I received a credit for them. The credit may only be used on the purchase of plants. I found 2 shrubs for $60.00 and my credit was for $39.00. Because it was a credit they would not warranty my new bushes because it was a credit. Steins supposedly guarantees all of their nursery for 2 years, but because I had a credit they do not warranty for the cost of the credit even though I originally had a five year credit. So my warranty is for $23.00 only. They will not warranty my new bushes because of the credit. I don't get it. They should warranty whatever I purchase. It is not my fault that the bushes died. For some reason one of the bushes did not die, but yet I have 4 more years of warranty on that one because that is what I was given, but the new bushes are not warrantied due to a credit on the dead bushes. I am no longer a STEINS customer if that is their policy and treatment of the consumer. I will definitely share my story with others.
