This is nice place to spend an hour or 2, particularly in Spring, summer and fall. There are paths to walk along, and most of the plants are labled along the way. On any given Saturday in the summer, there are many wedding parties getting pictures taken, as there are beautiful gardens that serve as backdrops. The gift shop has a nice library of gardening books, with many focussing on Michigan or MidWest regions. A yearly pass (~$10) is well worth it and it is a great place to take visitors to Midland. The passes are encouraged to be transferrable. Each spring is very fun butterfly exhibit - both informative and well organized. I didn't give this an excellent rating, only because of the size (relatively small) and location (not much in the winter in Michigan).
