Surreybrook has a long history in the area, but I found it just this week. The grounds are beautifully laid out with paths and benches and water features so that it's a joy to just stroll around.

I'm told they started out as an herb nursery, and they have a nice selection of herbs as well as an outstanding selection of perennials -- not just the standard ones, but also some unusual varieties and a reasonable selection of shade plants also.

We ran out of time for serious browsing of their tree and shrub selections, but again I was impressed. As a bonus, they have lots of garden art and containers available, pieces of all sizes, more whimsical or classical than cheesy. Their prices seemed about average to me for this area, at least on a first pass. I think I'll be returning regularly!
